Apetite kicking in
Yousuf woke up this morning wanting french fries and cereal. I told him cereal now and maybe french fries later. He asked,"Mama, pleeeeeease french fries and cereal!" Ok, this is a boy who I have to spoon feed him to get him to eat and ask HIM, "pleeeease, just one more bite!" The entire time I was getting him dressed before coming downstairs he kept making sure that the first thing we would do would be eating. So far I see an improvement already with this chemotherapy. It's very strange to see Yousuf act so excited about food...alhamdulilah. He's limping now and I am guessing it is from sitting on his foot while eating and not realizing it was making it go to sleep. I felt way more comfortable for not realizing that Yousuf was sick yesterday after running to the kitchen when hearing Yousuf crying very loud suddenly and calling my name. Right now it is dangerous to get the slightest bang, cut or scratch on his body so I ran fast. I came in the dining room and he was eating those bird's eyes pasta things (don't know what else to call them) I made with tiny meatballs and spaghetti sauce. One of those bird's eyes pasta things was stuck to his face and he wanted ME to take it off because he didn't want to get his hands dirty by touching it. La hawla wa la quwwat illa billa. I looked at him and was thinking how in the world could I have suspected he was dying from cancer from limping and being lazy for a few days when he acted like the world was coming to an end from having pasta stuck on his face? Alhamdulilah, we made it to the hospital right on time the doctor said.
