Day 8

Today was a long day spent at the hospital. Yousuf had a spinal tap, blood and platelet transfusion, and bone marrow biopsy. A lot of waiting rooms and complaining from both Omar and Yousuf. The Dr. said that the bone marrow is still made up of 25% leukemia bone marrow, but he is heading in the right direction. Yousuf still has a hard time being there. He was crying a lot wanting to leave out of fear of what was going to happen. Actually, when I woke him up in the morning and told him we were going to the Dr. he cried and said, "Nooo, my fingers!" From all the finger pricking they did initially but I tried to explain to him there would be no more finger pricking as he has a pick line. Next appt. will be Wednesday next week.
